CIGS will be hosting its first work-in-progress seminar of the year on Wednesday 21st October, 4-5pm. These seminars are an opportunity for staff and students to get feedback ongoing writing projects and are intended to provide a supportive space to engage with each others' work.

At the first seminar, Karen Throsby will talk about a chapter from her in-progress book, Sugar Rush, which explores narratives of 'hidden sugar'. She will introduce the chapter for about 30 minutes, followed by discussion and feedback. No reading will be required by attendees in advance of the session and all are welcome.

If you would like to attend, please email Karen Throsby (k.throsby@leeds.ac.uk).

If you have a piece of work that you would like to share in a work-in-progress seminar (chapters, funding bids, essays, journal articles....anything that you would like input on), then please contact Karen and we will add you to the schedule.
