Contested Bodies at the University of Leeds
Two members of CIGS, Ruth Holiday and Jess Martin have written an essay for the Exhibition Catalogue for Contested Bodies - an exhibition of amazing art from around the world women identified and gender-variant artists. Ruth and Jess have also been busy working on the re-design of our Gender Studies MA Programme, which includes Ruth’s module, Contested Bodies, and a new optional module on Gender, Sexuality and Popular Culture. The MA includes its own interdisciplinary research methods module, enabling students to pursue gender and feminist theory from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. And you may have noticed that gender studies is also currently recruiting for a new lecturer – so watch this space!
